Twenty students from this year's BASEF competed at the Canada-Wide and Intel International science fairs.
It was the best year ever for BASEF at the Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF). Our sixteen competitors brought home 14 awards: one gold medal, three silver medals, seven bronze medals, two Challenge Awards and one interdisciplinary award. CWSF was held May 10 to May 17 in Windsor, Ontario.

At the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (IISEF) one of the three students representing our area as part of "Team Canada" brought home an award. IISEF was held May 11 to 16 in Los Angeles, California.
IISEF Grand Award– Second Place Award in the Environmental Management category ($1500 cash award and an asteroid named after him)
